1. Power generation principle:

When there is light, the solar energy is converted into electric energy, and the solar charge and discharge controller is used to supply power to the load, and the battery pack is charged at the same time; when there is no light, the battery pack supplies power to the DC load through the solar charge and discharge controller. To directly supply power to the independent inverter, convert it into AC power through the independent inverter, and supply power to the AC load.


2. Composition Of Solar Off-Grid Sytem:

The home off-grid solar power generation system is mainly composed of solar panels, solar controllers, lead-acid batteries and inverters as its main components. The core elements are the solar battery and the controller.

  1. Solar panel: The solar panel is the core part of the solar power generation system. Its function is to convert the radiation capacity of the sun into electrical energy, which is sent to the battery for storage, or to drive the load to work.
  2. Solar controller: The function of solar controller is to control the working state of the entire system, and to protect the battery from overcharge and over discharge.
  3. Solar battery:Energy storage. In order to ensure the load power consumption at night or in cloudy and rainy days.
  4. Solar inverter: Convert DC to AC use.


3. Advantages and disadvantages of off-grid systems

Advantage

  • The energy storage system can solve sudden power outages;
  • Not easy to damage, simple maintenance, especially suitable for unattended use;
  • It can supply power nearby, without long-distance transmission, avoiding the loss of long-distance transmission lines;
  • Not fuel required, low running costs.


Disadvantage

  • Power generation is intermittent and random, It cannot or rarely generates power at night or on cloudy and rainy days;
  • The energy density is low. Under standard conditions, the solar radiation intensity received on the ground is 1000W/M^2. When used in large sizes, it needs to occupy a large area.


4. Installation Precautions

  1. Do not immerse PV modules in water or continuously expose them to sprinklers
  2. When choosing the install area, avoid trees, buildings or shaded areas that block solar modules;
  3. The system cannot be placed in salt-corroded,vulcanized and wet areas
  4. When installing and maintaining the product, be sure to cover the surface of the module with cloth or other opaque materials, because it is dangerous for the module to generate high voltage under sunlight.
